So many firms are downsizing it's scary. I think too many people in the last decade or two looked at becoming a lawyer as a surefire way to make money and didn't particularly care about the job they would actually be doing. I am NOT encouraging people NOT to attend Law School, but I want them to know that it is NOT an easy road. My post was compiled of personal research, online stats, law-student friends, employers (lawyers), some Law Professors, and some stat-guru friends. My subscribers and friends had a notion that Law School is easy and all Lawyers ended up looking (and capitalizing) like the pretty people lawyers of TV & Movies. That's why I wrote the post.
